Vineyard Sound has become a hotspot for the spread of albie fever as Hurricane Henri pushed the first crop of the green speedsters within range of center consoles and kayaks. The Canal saw some increased bass activity before and after the storm, but slowed way down by midweek, there are still plenty of schoolies ravaging the abundant bait there which could be setting the stage for a curtain call. The school and football bluefin action south and east of Block Island seems to have responded favorably to the passage of the tropical system, hookups have been common in the wake of the storm and many anglers have reported finding tuna closer to the dock than they were last week.
