The freshwater transition is in full effect across New England, with most saltwater boats being pulled and stormy seas hampering recent efforts. The largemouth bass bite has been solid across the region, with jerkbaits doing a lot of the damage. Trout fishing has also been very good, jerkbaits, spoons, spinners and live baits have all been working well. For those that can’t leave the brine behind, stripers are hitting in the Housy and the headboats are doing well with sea bass and tog along with some pollock and codfish as well. Don’t let your holiday shopping keep you off the water!
