Sea bass fishing is really lighting up south of Block Island with increasing numbers of codfish as well. Holdover striped bass catches are on the rise in Connecticut and Massachusetts while Rhode Island seems to be lagging a bit. Freshwater fishing has been hot all over New England! Smallmouth bass and trout are biting well on Cape Cod; CT officials were forced to stock 12,000 trout into local lakes; pike and panfish are crushing baits in the Connecticut River coves, it’s all happening, don’t sit idle and watch it pass you by!
