Jersey Shore Striper Update & Breaking News on Fluke, Porgy & Sea Bass

Striped bass continue to keep rods bent in Raritan Bay and along the North/Central coast of New Jersey, but far the best bite of the week is farther south into Atlantic and Cape May Counties where most of the fish have chosen to stay on this side of the fence this month. Surfcasters continue to pick through a bite with avas, swim shads, and narrower, smaller plugs behind the teasers, and back bay striper action continues to impress as well with just a few more weeks left to get at those estuary stripers in New Jersey. We switch gears from stripers to blackfish starting with a 20-pound tautog reported out of Lewes, DE and some other teen-class fish at the Jersey Shore; head west for our Pocono Outdoors guy’s report; and then south to Annapolis, MD where a couple of our appointed advocates at the Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Council opted to sit out the fight over allocation with the commercial sector; trust us – this week’s vent is surely just the start of an even bigger story to come on summer flounder, porgies and sea bass. Sad news to report out of Margate, and yet another MiniPSAT device is deployed off Virginia aboard the Tyman in this week’s full video forecast!
