With skim ice creeping south daily, you can ‘choose your own adventure’ this holiday week with hardwater action across much of northern and interior New England, open water options along the coast and the party boats continue to score well south of Block. Hardwater hysteria is at full peak already, with excellent catches from ponds 20-plus miles from the coast. Holdover stripers have been loving the up-and-down weather and feeding heavily in several areas. Stocked trout have been obliging both open water and hardwater anglers.
