Rhode Island Surf Stripers Still Biting!

Yes, that’s right, if you’ve ever dreamed of logging a true surf striper to kick off the new year, 2024 just might offer you that chance. Multiple reports came in over the Christmas holiday of striped bass biting well from the sand beaches in Rhody and inside the salt ponds. Trout fishing has also been hot at Wachusett, out on the Cape and in the stocked ponds of little Rhody. Is there really a better way to kick off the new year than with bent rod? We certainly can’t think of one!
