Happy New Year! Montauk and South Shore Bottom FishingÂ
The usual headboats fishing out of Montauk and South Shore ports have been picking away at bottom species, with sea bass being the highlight of most trips. Cod, along with other dwellers are making their way into coolers as well. Some sweet water reports tickled in consisting of bass, trout, pickerel, and yellow perch. On the political forefront, the Southhampton charter ban from last week was tabled due to for-hire pressure.
