Ice fishing is the main event again this week with impressive catches coming from all over New England. Whether you want to target pike, pickerel, smallmouth, trout or panfish, the fishing has good and the ice has been solid. Coastal areas are seeing the ice transitioning to unsafe, but traveling 10 miles inland will typically put you on reliably safe ice. The Cape is starting to produce open water catches again with some nice brown trout. It’s February, but the fishing has been hot, get out there and make it happen!
