After another week of frigid temps and more snow, a warmup is upon us and looks to continue for at least another five days. With nights still forecast to hold in the 20s, this won’t take much of a toll on inland ice, but along the coast, things may get dicey. We’ve seen a strong effort on the ice this week with largemouth bass to over 6 pounds, some beautiful lake trout, lots of stocked trout and some impressive perch of both local hues. This weekend looks to be one that ice anglers won’t want to miss, comfortable temperatures, a storm approaching and the uncertainty of a warm spell casting a shadow over it all.
