With late winter giving anglers plenty to keep an eye on, this week’s Fisherman Video Fishing Forecast brings you up to speed on what’s happening both on and off the water. We start with a preview of the March glossy issue of The Fisherman, now available on newsstands and arriving in mailboxes, followed by a look at the Atlantic City Boat Show, running through Sunday, with insight from New Jersey–Delaware Managing Editor Jim Hutchinson for those considering a weekend road trip. In fisheries news, the United States has challenged how recreational bluefin tuna landings are being counted under ICCAT, stating those fish should not be deducted from the U.S. quota. Anglers are also reminded that the state park 4×4 beach access cutoff is March 31, with a valid saltwater registry required. We then roll through a full slate of upcoming regional fishing and boating events before closing with reports from around the map, including productive freshwater action for perch, trout, and bass as winter conditions continue to hold across much of the region.
