The Fisherman Magazine Weekend Video Forecast 2/3/2022 – New England
Winter Storm Keenan’s wrath was no match for the hardcore ice fishermen of New England. Great catches have been reported from all over the region. Two areas stand out; Cape Cod and Connecticut. On the Cape the ice may not survive the warming trend predicted in the extended forecast, but those that have seized the opportunity have reaped the rewards in the form of pickerel, perch bass and trout. Interior portions of Connecticut are likely to weather the trend, at least for the short term; everything from stripers to pike to panfish and large brown trout have been pulled through holes in Nutmeg State ice. A low pressure system will pass through the region on Friday, setting up good fishing opportunities over the next 24 to 36 hours—make it count! Get the details on how you can win a rat swimbait made by Dave simply by going fishing this month!
