The Fisherman Magazine Weekend Video Forecast 7/8/2021 – New England
The big news this week is split between the weather and the ‘no quit’ tuna bite between Coxes and The Claw. Anglers running offshore are finding awesome results on 35- to 50-inch bluefin tuna in the highlighted area, trolling bars has been the way to connect. The best striper fishing is off Rhode Island, Block Island and in Long Island Sound. Lousy weather torpedoed fluking efforts at Nantucket Shoals this week, but once the remnants of Elsa and her roiled seas pass, we should see a reignition of the doormat fishery there—for now fluke fishers should put their eggs in the Block Island Sound basket. Hang in there for the next few days, the seas are forecast to come down pretty quickly after the storm rushes through. See you next week!
