The Fisherman Magazine Weekend Video Forecast 3/3/2022 – New England
This will be our last ice fishing cover of 2022… well, at least I hope it will be! Throughout most of extreme southern New England, pond ice is but a distant memory, unless you count annoying skim ice in the mornings. Trout fishing on Cape Cod has been good and will get better as the water warms up a bit more. Trout reports from Connecticut seem to be the best in the region. Ice fishing reigns supreme throughout interior New England and will continue for a few more weeks at least for ponds and lakes north of the Massachusetts border. Holdover striper catches are on the rise in Connecticut and Rhode Island. It’s March, in my book, that means it’s time to get serious!
