Striped bass have been the main topic of conversation throughout the region as 30- and 40-pound class linesiders surge into all three southern New England states. Western Long Island Sound presents your best shot at hooking a giant, but Narragansett Bay and eastern Buzzards Bay are not far behind. Weakfish catches have been on the rise in Connecticut, with two Dream Boat entries coming in from the Nutmeg State over the last week. Bluefish are also filling in fast with reports of gators into the low teens from Rhode Island and Connecticut over the past seven days.
