It was a good week for weakfish and winter flounder; the weakfish were strongest from the Connecticut River to the Housatonic and the flounder hit has been especially good around Sesuit on Cape Cod. Cow stripers are now showing in Narragansett Bay with fish to 40-plus pounds reported; the Canal has also had a good week with larger stripers. Fluke are moving in across Rhode Island and sea bass opens this weekend in Massachusetts and Connecticut
