The Fisherman Magazine Weekend Video Forecast 5/20/2021 – New England
In this week’s Web Fishing Forecast New England Editor Dave Anderson has news of the first 40-pound class striped bass heading into Narragansett Bay. At the same time the first pods of stripers over 30 pounds have started to file into the eastern reaches of Buzzards Bay, perhaps setting the stage for a big set of Canal tides next week. Sea bass fishing came out of the gate hot in Massachusetts and, to a slightly lesser degree, Connecticut. Scup fishing came to life in a big way in Buzzards Bay as well. Fluke fishing still isn’t red hot but it keeps getting a little better, anglers around Block Island and behind Fishers have reported lots of fish but only one keeper for about every 15 shorts. With the full moon coming and so many fish species catching fire right now, the next seven days should be very good days to spend fishing in New England. Best of luck
