Striped bass continue to lead the way across New England as more and bigger fish seem to move into the area with each turn of the tide. With reports of bass approaching or eclipsing the 40-pound mark from western Long Island Sound, Narragansett Bay, the Canal and the south shore of Boston, and some of those touching 50, striper fishing is in full-swing. We’ve also seen a continuation of the bluefish invasion, with the west side of Narragansett Bay and eastern Long Island Sound being the main hotspots this week. Weakfish have shown up again in Greenwich Bay. Fluke up to 10 pounds have been caught among the sand eel plumes off Block Island… it’s been a good week!
