Well, its finally here! Memorial Day weekend that is. And with it came some much needed warm weather and sunny skies to warm up the water around the island and put the fish back on the feed. South Shore fluking will be improving with this warm streak. The Sound is beginning to see a better run of bass in select spots. Peconic Bay is getting a mixed bag including stripers, blues, fluke, porgies and weakfish. Montauk is hosting a great bass bite on just about anything right now. It’s all coming alive and a little change in season is all that was needed. Enjoy your weekend, get out there and fish with family or friends but keep in mind what this weekend is all about and think about this who sacrificed for us to give us the freedom we have today.
