The Fisherman Magazine Weekend Video Forecast 5/27/2021 – New England
In this week’s Web Fishing Forecast, New England Editor, Dave Anderson, gives you the highlights of the fishing all around New England. Striped bass seem to be the main focus for local anglers as more and larger fish are moving in throughout the region. The two hotspots right now are western Long Island Sound and Narragansett Bay, but don’t sleep on Buzzards Bay either. Sea bass fishing really seems to be coming to life in Massachusetts and Connecticut, some really nice fish are coming from Buzzards Bay and central Long Island Sound. Fluking is best in Rhody, but there’s been a good movement of fish into eastern Long Island Sound this week, keeper ratios are about 15 to 1. Lastly, we saw a major spike in winter flounder catches from Cape Cod Bay up to Boston Harbor. There’s a lot going on throughout New England, don’t miss out, find a way to get out there and fish!
