There’s been a noticeable movement of striped bass entering the tidal rivers and estuaries from Buzzards Bay to Long Island Sound, and some very nice fish have been reported. These fish are feeding on peanut bunker, silversides and late-running mullet. The other species that’s seeing a ton of attention is blackfish and we’ve seen a steady increase in bigger fish from the Elizabeths to Fishers Island. Freshwater anglers have been doing very well on largemouth bass with several XL specimens up to 7 pounds logged this week. Get out there while there’s still time to give yourself something extra special to be thankful for!
