21.5- Pound Titantic Tog!

The awesome togging continues across southern New England with many large specimens recorded from Buzzards Bay to Long Island Sound. The beast of the week though, was landed by Dan Otka while fishing aboard The Sunbeam out of Niantic, CT. His 21.5-pounder is the second largest blackfish of the year and certainly ranks as the fish of a lifetime! Bottom dunkers are reporting excellent fishing for tog, sea bass and cod with the occasional bruiser porgy in the mix. We’ve also seen striped bass up to 30 pounds this week!
