Thanksgiving Butterballs in the Housatonic
Stripers are hitting the Housy right on time, giving shore anglers something else to be thankful for this week, the fish are spreading throughout the river now, with the mouth seeing the most action. Togging continues to provide great fishing from Buzzards Bay to western Long Island Sound, and double digit fish are being logged weekly, if not daily, in Rhode Island. Even the Canal got in on the action with a surprise multi-day blitz that produced mostly schoolie and slot fish with a few overs thrown in for good measure. Freshwater fishing continues to gain steam as well, with great trout and bass reports, especially on Cape Cod. Happy Thanksgiving to all!
