It took a while, but the albies are finally showing up in and around Nantucket Sound, with some seriously impressive specimens being caught at Monomoy and Nantucket. Striper action has been strongest in the greater Boston area, but there are pockets of activity all over the region. Weakfish are biting well in Connecticut and Rhody. Togging has been strong in Buzzards Bay and throughout Rhode Island. The biggest bluefish are staged up south of Nantucket and we have news of another extra-large Spanish mackerel from Massachusetts waters this week. With some tropical weather looming for next week, we would highly suggest making the most of your weekend fishing opportunities. Good luck out there!
