The traditional dockside marina and tackle shop was a staple at the Jersey Shore 50 years ago; regrettably, with the high value of waterfront properties today, you’ll find mostly duplexes now where “mom and pop” marinas once thrived.  We’re in Margate, NJ for this week’s report at Scott’s Dock, still going strong as a family operation since 1959 and continually expanding to meet angler needs. Ocean water temps at Atlantic City still below 55 degrees which is keeping striped bass actively on the feed in the surf. Surfcasters at Island Beach may be interested in a new piece of legislation expected in Trenton to deal with the buggy permit lottery fiasco, while the sheepshead of the season is reported in Atlantic County. We await news on bluefin regs while taking a sneak peek into the Canyon Runner Gulf Stream intel, wrapping up the week with a few local events of angling interest in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region this week.
