BHO is back with their wildly popular TogTober Tournament!
For the past 12 years, anglers in Long Island Sound have salivated over the cash and gear prizes, along with the amazing food at the awards ceremony. The 2026 event looks to expand even further beyond last year’s massive success where the grand prize winner went home with $4,000 in cold, hard cash! (Lest we forget that the second place winner also took home $1000 in cash!)
There will be prizes awarded for the top three largest blackfish landed during the four day event, first and second place will net cash prizes based on the number of entries and the third place finisher will take home a rod and reel combo. Additionally, there will daily gear prizes for largest tog and calcuttas in four categories; blackfish, black sea bass, porgy and false albacore. Entry for each Calcutta is $20 per angler. Tournament entry is $50 per angler.
All participants must be registered and paid on or before October 21 at 9 a.m. and that includes the calcuttas. All weigh-ins will be conducted at BHO’s Westbrook location (372 Boston Post Rd. Westbrook, CT) and weigh-ins conclude Sunday, October 25 at 3 p.m. sharp, no exceptions,; any fish weighed after 3 p.m. will not be counted, so make sure you’re on time!
There is no boundary as to where a participant can fish, as long as you’re following the rules and regulations for the area you’re fishing and you can get back in time for the final weigh-in, you’re good to go! Winning blackfish are eligible for calcuttas as long as the angler has “paid in” and anglers must be registered and paid in the main tourney to compete for the calcuttas. Tournament standings and any other important information will be sent to each participant via text message and email once per day.
There will be an awards ceremony and afterparty at the Westbrook location with great food and drink, live music and an awesome raffle that always puts out some top-tier prizes.
