On June 16, Luke Belford delivered a special memorial to the Kismet Inn: Captain Al Lorenzetti’s mount of the 65-pound striped bass he caught in the fall of 1990. Al, who passed away on May 12, 2026, was a cornerstone of the Fire Island and Great South Bay communities.
Thanks to the generosity of the Cole family, this tribute will be prominently displayed at the Inn, just a short distance from where the impressive fish was originally landed, ensuring Al’s legacy continues to be honored.
