On May 8, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (State Parks) will hold a public information meeting on its proposed Jones Beach Revitalization Plan.

On Wednesday, June 18, 2014, public hearings are scheduled relating to regulaitons pertaining to shellfish, recreational black sea bass, recreational southern New England winter flounder, recreational fishing permits and Atlantic sea herring.

SHORELINE CLOSED TO PROTECT BIRDS IN CT

Charles Island in Milford and Duck Island in Westbrook will be closed to the public beginning May 23 through September 9, 2014, to prevent disturbances to nesting birds.

THE SUMMER KICK-OFF FOR KIDS

The New England Charter Boat Association will once again be hosting its annual Summer Kick-Off for Kids event on June 26.
