First Official Week of Striper Season (Fish up to 42 pounds)
South Shore Wrecks Produce Tog and Cod

We’re officially a week into striper season, and it’s been a hot start. Fish up to 42 pounds just west of Debs inlet were reported. Good bites have also spread to the east inside the Great South Bay. North Shore Harbors continue to produce steady bass results also. Tog and cod bites on the South Shore wrecks offer excellent bottom fishing action. The North Shore saw sporadic tog fishing with certain rocky spots in the shallows producing a bit better. A couple of flounder reports even made their way in this week, and we give you a recap of the freshwater festival action at Belmont State Park.
