BIG SURF STRIPERS MOVE INTO MONTAUK

A black drum bite developing along South Shore beaches or just a small school? Find out for yourself this weekend because we got several reports of them over 38 pounds caught in the last week. Striper fishing from the surf saw a major uptick with big fish as well. Several fish in the 40-pound class were landed and released from the South Shore and Montauk. Jigging for stripers and blues in Montauk also showed no sign of slowing down and it seemed like a better fluke bite was developing as well. Central North and South Shore fluking also saw some better production during the course of the week for party and charter boats.
