Sea Bass Opens with New Regulations – Montauk Stripers Hot
The 2022 sea bass regulations are finally official for the season’s opening day. This year will see an increased size limit to 16 inches. The seasons remain the same from June 23rd to August 31st at three fish per person, then from September 1st to December 31st, the bag limit increases to six fish per person, which is one less fish than last year. Porgies also saw confirmation on regulations too, with a 1-inch increase to 10 inches per fish. All else stays status quo for the scup.
