In this week’s Weekly Video Fishing Forecast, we’ve got a ton of fishing to cover. Blackfish season is opening up—LI Sound runs October 11–December 9 with a 16-inch minimum and 3-fish limit, while the NY Bight opens October 15 with a 4-fish limit. Weakfish reports have been outstanding, with Jamaica Bay producing 40+ fish trips on live peanuts and even some quality weaks in the mix. Bonito action is firing in the central Sound, while the East End is seeing steady fluke, porgies, and sea bass, plus a great surf striper bite across most of the South Shore. Offshore, weed lines are holding mahi and tuna, keeping the late-season bite alive. We’ll also have the Fred Tournament results, updates on the Dreamboat and Coastal Kayak Clash, a fresh Captain Al Lorenzetti story and the Super Fluker Winner Circle season finale to close out 2025 fluking. Weather looks fishable into Saturday, but a Nor’easter is on the way for Sunday into the holiday, so plan accordingly. Keep in mind if you are free this evening, The Fisherman will be hosing their annual surf, inshore and offshore & seminar at the Hunting Hilton from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. We hope to see you there!
