The big talk is still about the tuna bite south of Block Island, but the crowds have turned more than a few boats off the long runs. Inshore striper action has been very strong south of Boston, across eastern Rhode Island and in eastern Long Island Sound; the latter two will likely come with some shark encounters. For those on the ‘funny fish’ watch, there are bonito around Nantucket and the Vineyard with transient schools showing in Nantucket Sound, but we’ve heard no confirmed albie reports yet.
