New Jersey Video Fishing Forecast – February 18, 2021

Come Monday We’re Just 7 Days Away From NJ Stripers!

With another round of wind, snow, and ice in the region on Thursday, it’s almost hard to believe that our “spring kickoff” will be just seven days away come Monday with the 2021 reopening of striped bass and winter flounder. White perch continue to attract the most attention along New Jersey and Delaware tidal creeks and estuaries, with bloodworms also attracting a bit of attention to some winter holdover stripers of late. Hopefully we see more sunny skies and warmer temperatures in next week’s forecast as anglers gear up for sod bank stripers as of March 1. We have news in this week’s complete video forecast about a February 18th fisheries meeting to discuss commercial and recreational quota allocations in New Jersey, the final figures from the 2020 Striped Bass Bonus Program in New Jersey in terms of total catch, and an update on the 2021 fluke regulations in the Garden State. Plus, if you’ve got a spinning rod or two in need of new guides, join us back at the workbench this week for a little bit of repair work.
