We lead off this week’s video fishing forecast for the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region roughly 75 miles east of Manasquan Inlet in the hunt for yellowfin and bluefin tuna with the crew from Mushin Sportfishing out of Point Pleasant, which leads us into our weekly “offshore intel” from the folks at Canyon Runner. In our second segment we’ll move back inshore for a look at ocean fluke and another Dream Boat doormat entry out of Up Front Bait & Tackle in Keyport. Also in the mix this week are triggerfish, gator blues, sheepshead and tautog out back, and the return of Spanish and kings of the mackerel world out front. Finally this week, in our third segment on local tournaments and events, a reminder for all of us that 2018 New Jersey state law prohibits the use of drones “to take or assist in taking wildlife.” Effectively, New Jersey conservation officers are now looking at this legalese to determine if deploying shark baits from the beach could be, or should be, deemed a disorderly persons offense.
