It’s the final weekend of July; the summer of 2025 is quickly approaching the half-way point on August 1, which also happens to be the first day of New Jersey’s summer tautog allowance of one fish. Back from ICAST ’25 we’re back at the desk this week talking sheepshead, a fishery that should see increased reporting over the next several weeks as folks get to looking around for jetty blackfish. On top of those convict fish, more exotic stripes in the Manasquan, plus we’ve got offshore snowy grouper and midrange blue marlin in our Jersey Shore reports this week. Jenni Ackerman walks the show floor at ICAST, we’ve got the statewide fluke rundown as reported by readers and regular viewers, our weekly Dream Boat and CKC update, with a triple bangin’ report report from the Absecon Inlet area. George has your weekly freshwater report and we wrap up the week with upcoming events and another team update from Orlando, FL.
