The Thursday morning forecast from the National Weather Service out of Atlantic City shows NE winds to 20 knots today with seas 7 to 9 feet, switching over to E/SE on Friday with seas 4 to 5 feet. After a steady dose of E/NE winds and waves over the final days of September, that same National Weather Service forecast has us looking at W winds blowing offshore at just 5 to 10 knots on Saturday, October 4th with inshore wave heights settling down to 3 to 4. Using history as a guide, things could get interesting rather quickly on the Jersey Shore striper front.  It’s also good news for black sea bass, black drum, gray triggerfish, sheepshead and red drum. Jenni has a final round of your fluke catches, we look at a few more boat buying opportunities coming up in the region.  Dig deep into the October edition for tips on striped bass, while our Pocono Outdoors Guy has a rundown on freshwater options this week. Plus, a quick look at last week’s public hearing on striped bass out in Bristol, PA.
