It’s been a banner year for exotic species, and things have really reached a crescendo in the fall. It’s been a solid year for albies, a top-shelf year for bonito, we’ve seen some impressive Spanish macks and a bunch of surprise southern visitors as well. When the water’s warm and the small bait swarms, you just never know what’s going to take aim on your epoxy jig. As we push into November, these fluorescent speedsters will quickly fade into memory, but we sure won’t forget the exotic influx of 2025.
