For all you tog fisherman out there keep in mind that this the last week of the season and the bite is really starting to come alive on the ocean reefs and wrecks. Fish to nearly 9 pounds were weighed in this past week with plenty of anglers able to get their spring limits as well. Some cod have been mixed in on most of the blackfish trips as well. For stripers, they are on the move right now! Raritan Bay is seeing some great action with the South Shore Bays and North Shore Harbors gaining more life by the day. The eastern end of the island is starting to get a better shot of bass as well in their backwaters. With good weather on the horizon, this should give those looking to fish the last week of April a good opportunity to do so.
