Waiting for the Winter Windows
This is the time of the year where you have to pick and choose your window of opportunity for fishing on a boat. Tog on the Sound is now closed but the South Shore season is open until December 22nd . Party boats are still picking them so it’s worth a shot. Sea bass and cod fishing has been steady with the Montauk and South Shore party and charter boats picking away and these tasty fish. The surf is still holding some striped bass. Take advantage before they’re all gone. Go light on the tackle for more fun. Also keep in mind Long Island has many lakes and rivers that can be fished when the marine conditions aren’t ideal.
