OFFSHORE WRECK BONANZA

Now is the time to hop on one of those offshore wreck trips to put away some fillets for the winter. From Montauk to Sheepshead Bay, we are hearing glowing reports of jumbo sea bass, along with blackfish, porgies, cod, pollock and ling. The last day to score some tog is next Tuesday, December 22, but sea bass are in play through the 31st and there is no closed season for scup.

Managing editor Matt Broderick has some timely tips that will help you score your share of white perch this winter.
