SEA BASS & TOG IN MONTAUK & STRIPER MEETING RECAP

They’re not gone yet. Those bluefin made themselves known again over the past week along the central to western South Shore of the island. Striper fishing was still a viable option in the same areas in fairly shallow water. To the east, out of Montauk, tog, sea bass, and some mixed-in cod led the way for those looking to ice some fillets before the holidays. That ASMFC striper meeting we talked about last report took place on Monday and we cover some of the options presented.
