MORE WIND AND A PLAN TO IMROVE PANFISHING
Plenty of wind in the forecast for the next few days does not bode well for getting offshore this weekend, but there is always the freshwater side where trout from last fall’s stocking and Connetquot River State Park are in play, along with panfish and catch and release largemouths. Speaking of panfish, senior editor Fred Golofaro tells how you can comment prior to February 15 on the DEC’s draft plan to improve the sunfish and crappie fisheries in NY State and here on Long Island, while managing editor Matt Broderick offers his knowledge and will be taking questions on rod building and repair’s that will keep you busy when fishing isn’t an option.
