Another round of trout stockings hit the island this week in lakes and river systems that were not stocked yet this year. Tune in for coverage and video of one of the stockings taking place. Even though the water temperatures around the island remain cold, stripers are beginning to feed in the back creeks and harbors. While these fish are on the smaller side, a report of a 32-pounder did surface in the city area last week. Keep in mind that two seasons open on April 1st – winter flounder and blackfish. The flounder season will run until May 30th and blackfish will go until the end of the month.
