More Trout Stockings – Spring Tog Opens April 1st

More trout stockings have taken place throughout Long Island since the last report. The Nassau and western Suffolk lakes were focused on this time. You can find a full list of the stockings in the April issue of the Fisherman Magazine. We also give you a preview of the issue in this broadcast and come back with the final part of the Al Gags lure making series. Striper reports near the city and western Nassau County are growing by the week with mostly a surf effort taking place. A few boats are sailing for cod to the east and are seeing some consistent results also. Keep in mind spring tog season opens April 1st and there are some rumors that they’re around already for anglers to catch in the opening days.
