March Madness Ends, April Insanity Begins

Laughing gulls have arrived at the Jersey Shore! That’s the word to kick off this week’s video fishing forecast from “on location” at The Reel Seat in Brielle in advance of special grand re-opening celebration. A quick look at the April edition of The Fisherman Magazine out this week and why an early invasion of bluefish could be in our future. Stocking up for the month ahead is a great idea of course as striped bass reports are still solid in the New Jersey, Delaware Bay region with more 30- and 40-inch plus fish getting active in local waters. A few reports on winter flounder coming in from Monmouth and Ocean County waters this week, and the very first reported summer flounder of the 2023 season. Don’t forget that tautog action returns on April 1 in the Garden State, trout season kicks off throughout the tristate region, and to cap off this week’s forecast the reporting tables get turned as interviewer turns interviewee for a one-on-one with a young gun.
