Stripers Flood Bays – Good Fluke Opener
The big news is no other than the opening week of fluke. Several boats sailed throughout the island and reported catches of them despite the colder water temperatures. The bite should only improve with some warmer days. Striped bass, weakfish and some bluefish have also infiltrated the South Shore bays and are providing opportunity for anglers. As another reminder the porgy bite is off to a hot start in Peconic Bay and the DEC has reopened a great ramp for the public to use to go after them. Find the details in this week’s video.
