STRIPERS AND TOG HEADLINE WEEKEND ACTION
With a little cooperation from the wind gods, the weekend should be ripe with opportunities to tangle with stripers, blackfish, sea bass and porgies. On the East End, you can add codfish to the mix of bottom species falling to party and charter boat anglers. Excellent catches of blackfish continue to come in from all corners of the Island. South Shore wrecks and reefs are producing some good mixed bag action, while inshore anglers can count on finding plenty of striped bass from boat and surf.
