The fall fishing scene is beginning to take shape across Long Island, with better striped bass showing on both the East End and South Shore, steady fluke action holding up, and plenty of bluefish, weakfish, sea bass and porgies keeping rods bent. We’ll also preview The Fisherman’s big September 17 show and seminar lineup, plus give anglers a reminder that New York State Parks’ fall 4×4 permit sales are now open. On top of that, we’ll check in with the latest Canyon Runner update and hear from our correspondents around the Island.
