Bait Fuels Bay Fluking & Weakfish Feast on South Shore Peanuts
The storm from last weekend set off some excellent weakfishing inside and around the Great South Bay, along with a good pick at fluke under the peanut bunker schools. The rest of the South Shore bays hosted a good fluke bite. Many who worked the inside were able to get limits with some effort put in. Cast netting peanut bunker and using them live was a good way to go. Stripers are starting to reappear at the end in Montauk, and albies have been crashing on the rainbait schools at the end and along the central North Shore. Porgies continue to go wild along the entire North Shore stretch too.
