Breaking News at Island Beach State Park

Big news this week as the NJDEP acknowledges that Ørsted is indeed doing “sampling” work at Island Beach State Park right now, with the Danish industrial offshore wind developer starting what the NJDEP Press Office calls “upland preparation work at Island Beach State Park in October, and the State Park Service anticipates that any impacts to the public will be minimal.” So yeah, there’s sewer work at IBSP, and also some other stuff too it seems; we spent a few minutes talking to Borough of Seaside Park mayor John Peterson, Jr. who echoes our concerns about NJDEP transparency issues.
